Before starting the process, the road before us seemed intimidating and scary. However, Susan walked us through this whole process with ease, professionalism, care, empathy and persistence. We started our journey in the beginning of June. We knew what we qualified for and sought out to find our first family home. Susan was readily available to meet us at each open house, VERY responsive to our questions and guided us through the process every step of the way. One week into the process, we were in escrow! The seller accepted our offer! We felt safe and protected under Susan's guidance because she was always 10 steps ahead. She quickly noticed that reserves for that particular property were low and encouraged us to dig deeper into the situation. AND ARE SO GLAD WE DID. We were able to uncover that the property was under litigation. Susan moved quickly. She didn't care about all of the paperwork, she didn't care about the extra driving and she answered small and big questions. Why? Because she wanted to know that my family and I were taken care of. My husband and I, along with my two young daughters were nervous about what was to happen next, but confident to trust the process as we knew we had Susan leading the way. So the search continued and in less than a week we were in escrow for another property! I honestly do not think I can think of any other realtor on this island that could pull off what Susan did for us. She worked quickly, connected well with the seller's realtor AND MADE IT HAPPEN. We were not even the highest offer. But somehow, some way she made it happen. We cannot stress how much money, time and energy Susan saved us. This is a HUGE lifetime expense and Susan could have easily just 'made the sale'. But no, Susan TRULY cared for our family making sure that we were set in a home that made sense for us. Almost as if she were a part of our family. Having someone like Susan in your corner truly represents the spirit of Aloha. What Hawaii truly represents- the act of giving , serving and love. It is apparent that Susan loves what she does. We started the process in June and today, I can happily share that we closed on our home on August 17th. As I am writing this, we are in our very first home to call our own. We owe this to Susan. I will never forget this experience. It's once in a lifetime you meet people who at the core of them truly want to help people. Susan saw a local family who was ready to buy a home and did everything in her power to make it happen. I have co-workers and friends who are still trying to find their home. I feel bad for them, because they don't have Susan. I am so grateful to Susan and felt the only way I can show my appreciation is to write this review to share. I first met Susan years ago when she sold my neighbor's home next door to me. I watched as she prepared and staged their home and guided my neighbors to do simple things so they can get the best price possible. Well, it worked, and my neighbors were extremely happy and grateful to Susan. She also sold them their replacement home. Susan has since represented me selling my 4 other properties I built over the years and now, fast forward to today, I had to face the reality of hiring Susan to help me sell what I thought was my forever home. Things happen and times change. I moved to the mainland. Because I was gone so long I had a lot of deferred maintenance and unfinished work that I didn't get a chance to complete. Susan jumped right in and assisted me using her seasoned and reasonable vendor contacts to get me estimates for things such as: completing my interior and exterior stairs, painting, hiring a landscaper, picking out plants, adding a fence, pressure washing, rebuilding my trellis, having her tile vendor replace a few missing pool tiles, repairing my roof flashing, completing my bathroom, getting her cleaners in and so on. She was a fantastic source while providing me guidance and suggestions as well as getting down and dirty herself to help me get my house ready to put on the market. Over the course of a few+ months, she painstakingly managed the vendors and showed up almost every morning and afternoon sending me video progress updates as well as picking up material. They all had a good rapport and everyone was motivated to help me. Susan went above and beyond her call of duty and it was a lot of work! When you hire Susan, you get her in person all the time. She has her team behind the scene because your Realtor is the one who can do the job the best and represent your home. Susan then expertly staged my home with her furnishings, truly highlighting its best features and my ocean view. That was also a lot of work since my home was 4200 sqft of living. Her video, photos and drone shots were incredible and her team did a great job! I didn't even recognize my home. I went into escrow in 8 days and received a few full price offers in today's market, and..., my home was located in an area that is more country living. She was exceptionally thorough and professional through the whole escrow (as usual), always keeping me updated on timelines and the potential possibilities. Susan's strength to assist and negotiate through the escrow respectfully to the buyers, while fully representing my best interest so all parties walked away satisfied. I know this doesn't always happen, but her efforts including the personalities of all parties made everything work out! Susan has even been there after the sale with additional questions from the buyers and a few repairs that unfortunately happened after the sale.The buyers also appreciated Susan and they enjoyed working with her, we ended up becoming friends after the closing. My neighbors are also happy with the new owners of my home. My final comment, Susan was consistently available and responsive to answering any questions 7 days a week. She always made me feel like I was her most important client, or even that I was her only client. She is not only positive, she's compassionate, very knowledgeable with the market, and an exceptional Realtor/friend. I am so pleased with the sale of my home and I'm grateful to Susan for all her efforts! Her love of her work radiates and she excels way beyond expectations and embodies positive problem solving professionalism. Susan Borochov is the epitome of excellence! With a three week move out deadline, Susan provided such an expert level of experience and calm that blew us away. She had any resource we needed from any repair, painting, cleaning, donations, moving, staging, video and photography and of course successfully selling our home - above asking too! We also appreciated Susan checking with us to make sure we were on our budget. She was so mindful of our needs. Moving from a home of 15 years is no easy feat in three weeks. The move was already stressful but Susan took much of everything else on herself and her mighty team to make it as easy as possible on us.
